On a momentous occasion, Dr. Anshul Vikram Pandey, Founder of PanScience Innovations, and Tanisha Singh, Head of Operations, were invited to participate in the First Cohort Preincubation Program Pitching Session, hosted by the AIC BARC at the renowned Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), Trombay, Mumbai. The event was a significant milestone in India’s startup ecosystem, underscoring the importance of collaboration between scientific institutions and the entrepreneurial community.
The pitching session brought together startups from across the country, providing them with an invaluable platform to showcase their ideas. But beyond the pitches, what truly stood out was the environment of knowledge exchange and collaboration. The BARC scientists, with their deep expertise in various domains, not only listened to the startup ideas but actively engaged with the teams, offering insightful feedback and sharing their knowledge. It was truly inspiring to witness these experts, who have contributed immensely to scientific advancements, demonstrate such enthusiasm and positivity towards innovation. Their support for entrepreneurship showed just how critical it is to bridge the gap between science, technology, and business.
In addition to the pitching session, Dr. Anshul Vikram Pandey had the privilege of giving a talk on approaches for business problem-solving. Drawing from his extensive experience in building and scaling businesses, Dr. Anshul shared insights on tackling complex business challenges, using a structured and data-driven approach. His talk provided valuable frameworks for entrepreneurs to not only identify problems but also design effective solutions that can drive growth and impact.
One of the key highlights of the event was the mentorship program. Each startup team was paired with a mentor who helped them refine their presentations and improve the overall quality of their pitch. The mentors, with their extensive experience and practical insights, played a crucial role in shaping the startups' narratives, making sure their ideas were clearly articulated and compelling. The mentorship process was not just about polishing presentations but about providing deep, thoughtful guidance to help entrepreneurs better understand how to position their innovations in the market.
At PSI, we were particularly inspired by the active role that BARC is playing in fostering entrepreneurship. The S-Prep Startup Preincubation Program is a testament to the growing recognition of the importance of entrepreneurship in driving innovation and economic growth. By supporting early-stage ventures and providing them with access to resources, guidance, and a network of experts, BARC is not only nurturing individual startups but also strengthening India’s broader innovation ecosystem. It is encouraging to see such esteemed institutions taking proactive steps to nurture the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.
Participating in this event reaffirmed our belief in the power of collaboration between science, technology, and entrepreneurship. At PSI, we are passionate about creating an ecosystem that empowers startups to thrive. The experience at BARC demonstrated how valuable mentorship, institutional support, and scientific expertise are in shaping the future of innovation. We are excited to continue contributing to the entrepreneurial landscape and are proud to have been part of such an inspiring event.
